Pat McAfee’s Taylor Swift Mention Sparks ‘Mr. Pfizer’ Chant Among Utah Football Fans

The Utah football program finds itself gearing up for a critical showdown against the Oregon Ducks this Saturday, marking one of the most pivotal games of the season.

To add to the excitement, College GameDay descended upon Utah’s campus, with the charismatic Pat McAfee at the helm.

During the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, former Utah Utes quarterback Alex Smith made a guest appearance.

It was during this segment that McAfee decided to throw a curveball, steering the conversation towards the pop sensation Taylor Swift.

What unfolded next was a light-hearted jibe at Travis Kelce, as the spirited Utah football fans erupted into a chorus of “Mr. Pfizer” chants upon hearing Taylor Swift’s name.

Their fervor was so intense that it momentarily disrupted McAfee’s question to Alex Smith.

Fortunately, Smith found the humor in the situation and couldn’t contain his laughter.

McAfee’s brief pause in the interview only added to the amusement.

All in all, the Utah football crowd’s chant probably deserves an A- for its creativity and spontaneity.

While Travis Kelce may not have anticipated becoming the center of a Taylor Swift-related joke, it’s all part and parcel of being in a relationship with one of the world’s most famous individuals.

Nevertheless, Kelce appears to be a good sport who can take a joke in stride. The banter is all in good fun.

The incident offered a welcome moment of levity for Utah football students and fans on the eve of their high-stakes game against the Ducks.

Depending on the outcome of the game, the Utes might find themselves singing a different tune come Saturday evening.

Don’t miss the Utah-Oregon game, airing at 3:30 pm Eastern on Fox.
