Patrick Mahomes Scores Big Off the Field: Patrick & Brittany Mahomes’ $615,000 Charity Blitz

While many athletes choose to relax during their bye week, Patrick Mahomes II and his wife, Brittany, took a different route, dedicating their time to a charitable cause.

In Week 10, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback hosted the fourth annual “15 And The Mahomies Foundation Gala” on November 9, garnering significant attention and success.

The foundation’s social media account, X (formerly Twitter), highlighted the event as “an incredible night of community, celebration, and giving,” revealing that the Mahomes couple awarded an impressive $615,000 in grants to 19 different charitable organizations.

A video snippet from the gala featured a heartfelt message from Patrick Mahomes himself, expressing his desire to see the “15 And The Mahomies Foundation” grow on a national and global scale.

The post quickly gained traction, accumulating 1.1K likes within 24 hours as the Chiefs Kingdom embraced the positive news.

In addition to their philanthropic efforts, Patrick Mahomes received the 2023 Black College Football Hall of Fame Founder’s Award during the gala.

The Black College Football Hall of Fame recognized Mahomes for his support of the HBCU Legacy Bowl, acknowledging the opportunities he has created for students across the nation.

This prestigious award, established to honor those committed to preserving the legacy of the Black College Football Hall of Fame, has previously been awarded to notable figures such as Charles Davis, Steve Wyche, and Arthur Blank.

For those unfamiliar with the 15 And The Mahomies Foundation, its mission revolves around improving the lives of children in communities spanning Kansas City, Texas, and beyond.

Through initiatives focused on health, wellness, and providing resources to communities in need, the foundation makes a meaningful impact.

Ongoing programs like “Read for 15,” “Volunteer for 15,” and “15 for 15” embody the Mahomes’ commitment to various charitable causes.

“Read for 15” encourages children to develop a love for reading, while “Volunteer for 15” partners with The Youth Volunteer Corps to motivate youth to pledge 15 hours of volunteer work during the summer.

The foundation’s signature program, “15 for 15,” supports 15 youth charitable initiatives across various domains, including academics, science, the arts, and after-school programs.

Established in 2019 by Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, the foundation continues to expand its reach and impact, exemplifying the couple’s dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of children and communities.
