Singer Taylor Swift couldn’t be at the international matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, but her support for her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was unwavering.
Despite the distance, Swift organized a watch party in her New York City apartment as the Chiefs secured a 21-14 victory against Miami in Week 9.
Photographs published by The New York Post captured Paige Buechele, wife of backup quarterback Shane Buechele, and Lyndsay Bell, wife of tight end Blake Bell, leaving Swift’s Tribeca residence on November 5, both sporting Chiefs sweatshirts. Miranda Hogue, a close friend of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, was also seen.
In a game where Kelce had a modest performance with just three receptions for 14 yards against the Dolphins, he achieved something remarkable.
He surpassed the legendary Tony Gonzalez to become the Chiefs’ all-time leader in receiving yards, reaching a total of 10,941 yards.
Swift showed her support by “liking” People magazine’s Instagram post celebrating Kelce’s incredible feat. This move, while subtle, garnered excitement among her 275 million Instagram followers since she rarely engages with content on the platform.
The night before the Chiefs’ victory, Swift dined with Mahomes, Hogue, along with Selena Gomez, Sophie Turner, Gigi Hadid, and Cara Delevingne at the BondST restaurant in Manhattan on Saturday night.
This wasn’t Swift’s first time attending one of Kelce’s games. She made her debut in Week 3 when, alongside Donna Kelce, she witnessed the Chiefs’ dominant 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears from the comfort of a luxury suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
Swift’s most recent game appearance occurred during the Chiefs’ 31-17 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 22. During that Week 7 matchup, Swift and Brittany showcased their new celebration handshake.
When asked about Swift’s attendance at the AFC showdown during a press conference in Germany two days before the game at Deutsche Bank Park, Kelce humorously responded, “You know what? When I mention or everybody knows she’s at the game, the over/under on my catches kind of goes up and down. The spread goes up and down. So, I don’t want to mess with any of that stuff. So, I’m just gonna keep it to myself.”

As for the status of their relationship and the question of whether he’s “in love” with Swift, Kelce handled it gracefully, saying, “The latest status is I got to see her last week. I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal.”
Head coach Andy Reid addressed Kelce’s relatively quiet game against the Dolphins, explaining that it wasn’t the plan. The Chiefs always strive to involve him, but the Dolphins’ defense executed a combination coverage strategy that limited his opportunities.
Despite this, Kelce displayed remarkable sportsmanship, with Reid recounting, “I said, ‘Doggone it Travis, I need to get the ball to you a little bit more.’ And he goes, ‘Hey, the offensive line played great. You know we were running the ball well.’ So I appreciate that attitude.”
While the Chiefs’ offense did enough to secure the victory against the Dolphins, it was the defense that truly shone.
The Athletic noted that the Chiefs had allowed just 15.1 points per game, the second-lowest in the league, excluding the opening-night loss to the Detroit Lions.
Kelce himself praised the defense, stating, “I can probably tell you, halfway through the season, that this is the best defense I’ve ever played with.
They come up in huge moments, man. Honestly, they’ve been saving us in a lot of situations. But that’s why you play this team game, man. It’s why it’s the best game in the world.”
