After a hard-fought 21-14 victory in Frankfurt, Germany, against the Miami Dolphins, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, shared his thoughts on the game.
When the Kansas City Chiefs clashed with the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, this morning, German fans were anticipating a high-octane showdown that would leave them singing “Danke Schoen” once the final whistle blew.
While it might not have been the typical Patrick Mahomes performance, the end result was a familiar one—a Chiefs win.
Mahomes has now extended his international career record to 2-0 and maintains a remarkable 71-18 record in his first 89 career starts.

Post-game, Mahomes opened up about the experience of playing in Germany and his impressions of the Chiefs’ performance.
Mahomes rightfully acknowledged the German crowd for creating an electrifying atmosphere that felt like a Chiefs home game.
However, he also credited the Chiefs’ defense for securing the win against the explosive Miami Dolphins with a late first-half scoop and score, which ultimately proved to be the game-changer.
“People are going to recognize it soon enough. While we continue to work on refining our offense, this defense is the real deal, and everyone will see that,” Mahomes declared.
When Stacey Dales of the NFL Network asked Mahomes if he believed this version of the Chiefs’ defense could be the best in his six years as the starting quarterback in Kansas City, he didn’t hesitate to respond, “I believe they have the potential to be the best defense in the NFL.”
Backing up his claim with statistics, Mahomes has a strong case. Under the guidance of veteran defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who is now in his fifth season with the Chiefs, the defense currently ranks fourth in yards allowed and second in points allowed.
The Chiefs are now heading back to the United States and are set to enjoy their bye week before a highly-anticipated Week 11 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which will take place on Monday Night Football.
