Chris Jones and Travis Kelce Address Tyreek Hill’s ‘Revenge Game’ Comments

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been quite vocal this year leading up to his highly anticipated matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany.

His “revenge game” has garnered a lot of attention, but it seems that his former teammates, Chris Jones and Travis Kelce, are ready to silence all the noise.

Hill’s recent declaration that the Chiefs are “going to get this work” on November 2 made headlines throughout the NFL community and beyond.

Upon their arrival in Germany on November 3, a panel of Chiefs team leaders were asked about Hill’s latest comments, and both Jones and Kelce had something to say.

Kelce, known for his humor, remarked, “Tyreek is, um — he’s a funny guy, man, he’s a fun guy. He likes to say his peace.”

He also added a playful jab, saying, “He’s always been like that — even just playing basketball in the locker room in Kansas City, and I’ve seen him lose a lot of those games.”

This drew laughs from the crowd, and Kelce concluded by expressing confidence in the Chiefs’ readiness to face Hill and his team.

Jones, adopting a more serious tone, interjected, “Listen, man, we still got a game to play. As much as I love Tyreek, sometimes we just talk a lot.”

He continued, “We just talk, talk, talk, but I understand. I understand he wants to rile this crowd up, and I’ll support it. But at the end of the day, when the pads come on and those lights are on, we still have to line up and play, right?” He added ominously that he is “looking forward to it.”

While both Jones and Kelce maintained a level of class in their responses, there was a subtle tension in the air as they addressed the situation.

On the other hand, quarterback Patrick Mahomes II and head coach Andy Reid took a different approach in their praise of Hill.

Mahomes referred to Hill as his “brother” and emphasized the strong relationship they built during Hill’s time in Kansas City. He commended Hill’s performance over the past few seasons and recognized the challenge he presents to the defense, just as the Dolphins do to the Chiefs.

Reid echoed Mahomes’ sentiments, expressing admiration for Hill’s skills and accomplishments in the NFL. He described Hill as a “heck of a player” who has consistently delivered at a high level.

In a recent candid interview with former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, Hill delved into the details surrounding his trade from the Chiefs.

He discussed the factors that led to the trade and the challenging decision he faced when choosing between Tua Tagovailoa and Mahomes as the better quarterback.

Hill ultimately proclaimed Mahomes as the best quarterback in the NFL, emphasizing the unique qualities that set him apart. He praised Mahomes’ ability to create plays and his remarkable arm talent.

During the same interview, Hill affectionately referred to Jones, Kelce, and Mahomes as his “brothers” with whom he had gone to war.

He humorously mentioned that he would continue to tease them on Twitter, as that’s what siblings do, while also expressing his ongoing love for his former teammates.
