Last night, I left from pulling two 14 hour shifts. Exhausted. Two 14-hour shifts. Back to back probably. 28 hours of work. Leaving work exhausted. Ready to go home. Just wanting rest.

Stopped by the grocery store to grab food for dinner and as I was checking out a woman started crying in the next checkout line. The stop. Grocery store. Grabbing food for dinner. Regular errand. And while checking out—noticing something. Woman in next checkout line. Crying.

Her daughter asked her what’s wrong and she said we can’t afford to eat tonight. The conversation overheard. Daughter asking mom what’s wrong. Mom’s answer—devastating. We can’t afford to eat tonight. At the grocery store. With food. But can’t afford it. Can’t buy dinner. Will go home hungry.

A person behind her gave her a couple dollars and she bought her daughter a Kids Cuisine tv dinner. The first help. Person behind her in line. Giving a couple dollars. Small amount. And the mom using it to buy her daughter a Kids Cuisine tv dinner. The cheap frozen dinner. For her daughter. Not for herself. Just making sure her daughter eats.

I told her to grab what she wants, ill pay for it. The intervention. Watching this. Seeing mom and daughter who can’t afford to eat. Telling her: grab what she wants. Whatever she needs. I’ll pay for it. After pulling two 14-hour shifts. Exhausted. But seeing someone who needs help and offering it.

I NEVER stop at this Wal-Mart. I’m simply saying GOD puts you where he needs you to be WHEN he needs you to be there. The reflection. Never stops at this Walmart. Out of the way probably. Not the usual store. But stopped this time. After two 14-hour shifts. When he was exhausted. And found someone who needed help. God puts you where he needs you to be when he needs you to be there. Divine appointment. Being in the right place at the right time because someone needed you.

Last night, I left from pulling two 14 hour shifts. The exhaustion. Two 14-hour shifts. 28 hours of work. Probably back-to-back. Leaving work completely exhausted. The kind of tired where you just want to go home and collapse. But stopping at grocery store first.

Stopped by the grocery store to grab food for dinner. The errand. Regular stop. Need dinner. Stopping at grocery store. Quick trip. Just grabbing something to eat. Routine.

And as I was checking out a woman started crying in the next checkout line. The notice. While checking out. Woman in next line. Crying. Not quiet tears. Crying enough to be noticeable. Enough to draw attention.

Her daughter asked her what’s wrong and she said we can’t afford to eat tonight. The heartbreak. Daughter noticing mom crying. Asking what’s wrong. Mom’s answer—we can’t afford to eat tonight. At the grocery store. Surrounded by food. But unable to buy it. Unable to feed her daughter tonight.

A person behind her gave her a couple dollars and she bought her daughter a Kids Cuisine tv dinner. The first kindness. Person behind her in line. Hearing this. Giving couple dollars. And the mom—thinking of her daughter—buying Kids Cuisine tv dinner. The cheap frozen meal. Not much. But something for her daughter to eat. Not buying food for herself. Just for her daughter.

I told her to grab what she wants, ill pay for it. The larger intervention. Watching this unfold. This man—exhausted from two 14-hour shifts—telling her: grab what you want. Whatever you need. I’ll pay for it. Not just a couple dollars. But whatever she needs. However much it costs. Don’t worry about price. Just get food.

I NEVER stop at this Wal-Mart. The realization. Never stops at this Walmart. Not his regular store. Out of the way. Not convenient. But stopped last night. After being exhausted from two 14-hour shifts. When he just wanted to get home. Stopped at a store he never stops at.

I’m simply saying GOD puts you where he needs you to be WHEN he needs you to be there. The understanding. This wasn’t coincidence. This was divine appointment. God putting him at that Walmart at that time. When that woman needed help. When she was crying because she couldn’t afford to feed her daughter. God put him there—exhausted, just trying to get dinner, at a store he never visits—so he could help her.

The photograph shows them—in Walmart. The man taking a selfie. The woman and daughter in background, shopping. Getting the food they need. Because a stranger who never stops at this Walmart stopped after two 14-hour shifts and found someone who needed him exactly when she needed help.
