During the Kansas City Chiefs’ bye week, quarterback Patrick Mahomes embraced the role of a spectator, immersing himself in various sports events.

Last week, the NFL’s reigning Most Valuable Player was courtside for a Dallas Mavericks NBA game, and over the weekend, he dedicated his time to supporting his alma mater, Texas Tech, alongside his wife, Brittany.

The Mahomes family made their presence felt at the Red Raiders’ away game against the Kansas Jayhawks, adding to the late-season college football excitement.

The couple, adorned in Texas Tech gear, garnered attention from cameras capturing every moment.

Notably, Mahomes, who was inducted into the Red Raiders’ ring of honor last year, continues to actively support the program, showcasing his commitment even years after leaving in 2017 to join the Chiefs.

The game concluded in triumph for the Red Raiders, as they secured a 16-13 victory over the 16th-ranked Kansas team.

This upset win on the road within the conference not only marked a significant achievement for Texas Tech but also kept their chances for a bowl game alive with a 5-5 record.

Patrick Mahomes’ appearance at the game added a spark to the Red Raiders’ performance, and his ongoing support for Texas Tech reflects his enduring connection to the university.

The quarterback’s influence extends beyond the NFL, impacting the college football scene and inspiring his alma mater to achieve success on the field.
