In recent months, Jackson Mahomes, the brother of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, has made frequent appearances on our screens during Chiefs games, often celebrating the quarterback’s successes.
However, this time, he’s in the headlines for a far less celebratory reason.
In May of 2023, Jackson Mahomes was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery in connection with an alleged incident at Aspen’s Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park.

The alleged victim, Aspen Vaughn, who is also the restaurant’s owner, claimed that Jackson forcibly kissed her, leading to his legal troubles.
Jackson Mahomes, whose job is described as that of a “social media influencer,” is now facing a court date.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 3, 2024, following his appearance before a Johnson County judge for a scheduling conference.

The allegations against Jackson Mahomes include inappropriate and aggressive behavior towards Vaughn, who has since revealed that she’s faced vandalism and death threats following the incident.
Vaughn expressed her concerns, stating, “I feel like definitely, since it’s occurred, my safety is definitely at risk. I’m feeling attacked by people I’ve never met. Why do victims not come forward? It’s because this is how they get treated.”
Clearly, Vaughn remains deeply affected by the alleged actions of Jackson Mahomes, actions that have resulted in the closure of her restaurant.
“I still do not understand why it happened or like the gist of everything. It just kind of happened out of nowhere. And then here we are today,” she said.
