After spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Mecole Hardman took his talents to the New York Jets this offseason. However, it didn’t take long for Hardman to find himself back with the Chiefs.
Kansas City orchestrated a trade with the Jets, exchanging a pair of late-round picks to bring Hardman back into the fold.
Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ star tight end, expressed his happiness at having Hardman back during an interview with CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.
“I don’t know how we got out of New York, but I’m glad he’s with us,” Kelce remarked about Hardman’s return.

It took seven weeks of regular-season football for Hardman to make his way back to Kansas City.
However, once he did, he wasted no time in making an immediate impact during the Chiefs’ Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Although Hardman had just one catch for six yards in that game, he electrified the crowd with a 50-yard punt return that positioned the Chiefs favorably on the field.
During his brief stint with the Jets, Hardman had only managed to catch a single pass for six yards. Remarkably, he has already matched that output since returning to the Chiefs.

Prior to his New York detour, Hardman had accumulated 151 catches for 2,088 yards and 16 touchdowns in his first four years with the team.
As long as Travis Kelce continues to play a pivotal role in the Chiefs’ offense, he will remain the linchpin of their passing attack.
In their recent victory over the Chargers, Kelce was nothing short of dominant, hauling in 12 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown.
However, it’s essential to remember that Mecole Hardman was right alongside Kelce when the Chiefs clinched their two most recent Super Bowl victories.
As Kansas City fervently chases yet another championship, Kelce couldn’t be happier that Hardman is once again a part of the journey.
