Travis Kelce’s Roaring Shout Amidst Record Cold Takes the Internet by Storm

The Kansas City Chiefs faced the Miami Dolphins on a frigid Saturday night, setting a new standard for cold at Arrowhead Stadium.

Tight end Travis Kelce, determined to ward off the subzero temperatures, was captured letting out a scream to keep himself warm.

The game, culminating in a 26-7 victory for Kansas City, marked the coldest in Arrowhead Stadium history and the fourth-coldest in NFL history.

With a kickoff temperature of minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit and a wind chill of minus 26 degrees, it was an icy challenge that didn’t deter the players, thanks to a specialized heating system beneath the field.

A clip of Kelce’s spirited scream went viral after the official NFL X account shared it on Thursday, amassing over 434,000 views as of the latest count. Newsweek reached out to Kelce’s publicist for comment, but none was available at the time of writing.

“Don’t let the cold affect your image and get hype,” Kelce exclaimed in the video, expressing his enthusiasm. “I just like screaming right now. You got to keep warm, you know what I mean?”

The New Heights podcast’s X account, hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, reshared the video, humorously noting, “Screaming helps make it warmer, that’s a scientific fact.”

Social media users shared their amusement in the replies, with one fan suggesting Kelce as the perfect nominee for the People’s Choice Award for Athlete. Others praised Kelce’s vibrancy both on and off the field.

Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, seemed to share his fervor, as she was captured “screeching” in Kelce’s suite during the same game.

Despite the freezing temperatures, Swift’s spirited involvement in the game, including yelling and visible stress, was documented in a video that garnered over 240,000 views.

User @graynovember13 shared a video of Donna Kelce, Travis’s mother, seemingly unfazed by Swift’s screeching, emphasizing the similarity between Swift and Travis. Swift has been a consistent presence at Chiefs games during her relationship with the team’s tight end.

Newsweek reached out to Swift’s publicist and Donna Kelce through Travis Kelce’s publicist for comment, but responses were not received by Monday.

The video shared by user @graynovember13 originated on the social media platform from user @_nataliemaria13. Swift revealed in an interview with Time magazine, where she was named Person of the Year 2023, that her relationship with Kelce began in July, and by the time of that first game, they were already a couple.
