The holiday season has brought joy to the Mahomes family as Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a delightful collection of new holiday photos.
The snapshots featured the happy couple and their two adorable children, 2-year-old daughter Sterling Skye and 1-year-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III.
Captioned with a heartwarming “Merry Christmas Eve,” the family of four is captured in a joyful moment, seated together in front of a beautifully adorned Christmas tree with Santa Claus making a special appearance.
Brittany’s festive post precedes an exciting Christmas Day clash at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs are set to face off against the Raiders.
Despite the anticipation of the game, Patrick Mahomes, who tied the knot with Brittany in March 2022, expressed mixed feelings about playing on December 25.
In a recent interview with Pro Football Talk, the two-time league MVP shared, “I’m excited because you get that standalone [game]. You get to play at Arrowhead [Stadium] at 12:00.
I mean, everybody’s gonna be just opening presents and getting the food in them and then they’re going to be the happiest they possibly can be, and they’re gonna turn on and see the Kansas City Chiefs playing. So I’m excited about that.”
However, Mahomes acknowledged the bittersweet aspect, admitting, “I’m a little disappointed I’m going to miss Christmas Eve with my kids and Christmas morning and miss Santa coming.
But I’ll be able to spend the evening with them and open presents with them then. So, it’ll be a great opportunity. I’m excited for that. We’ll miss the kids a little bit but we’ll celebrate after the game’s over.”
The Mahomes, both 28 years old, welcomed their daughter Sterling in 2021, followed by the arrival of Bronze in November of the subsequent year.
Adding to the excitement, the Chiefs are slated to play on New Year’s Eve against the Bengals the following Sunday.
The question remains whether pop megastar Taylor Swift, the newest member of Chiefs Kingdom who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will be in attendance.
Swift, a frequent presence at Chiefs games this season, has often shared the stands with Brittany during these football festivities.
