Amid the aftermath of tragedy following a deadly shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, Travis Kelce, along with some teammates, opted for a subdued celebration, raising eyebrows and sparking discussions.

Newly acquired images obtained by DailyMail.com depict star tight end Kelce, who garnered attention throughout the NFL season due to his relationship with Taylor Swift, at a Kansas City sports bar on Wednesday.

Joining him were several teammates and their partners, including Brittany, the wife of quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Among the small group were Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend, center Creed Humphrey, tight end Matt Bushman, and his wife Emily.

Sources revealed that Mahomes had reserved the entire venue for a select few members of the team and their families.

Notably absent were many members of Andy Reid’s squad, choosing to stay away following the tragic events that left one person dead and numerous injured in Kansas City.

Kelce, known for his charismatic presence, was spotted at the gathering, which had initially been planned on a larger scale but was subsequently scaled down.

Contrary to assumptions, it wasn’t a lively party but rather an opportunity for the players to come together with their loved ones, providing solace amidst the somber atmosphere.

Despite facing criticism earlier for posing for a smiling selfie with a police officer shortly after the shooting, Kelce remained undeterred, embracing the chance to lift the spirits of the staff and momentarily distract from the recent trauma.

The Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar, where the gathering took place, holds sentimental value for Kelce and Mahomes, evident from the signed jerseys adorning its walls and the Kansas City memorabilia adorning its interiors.

Kelce, clutching a beer, appeared in good spirits as he arrived at the venue, a stark contrast to the chaos that ensued during the parade earlier that day.

The shooting, which injured over 30 people, including nine children, cast a shadow over what was meant to be a joyous occasion, prompting reflections on safety measures and gun control.

While Kelce faced backlash for his seemingly insensitive post-shooting actions, others defended his right to seek solace and normalcy amidst the tragedy.

Meanwhile, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas vowed to reassess security measures for future events, acknowledging the need for stricter gun control laws in light of the city’s rising homicide rates.

As investigations into the shooting continue, with three suspects under questioning, the city grapples with the aftermath of a day that was meant to celebrate athletic achievement but instead ended in senseless violence. T

ributes pour in for Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the sole fatality of the shooting, underscoring the need for greater vigilance and action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
